It is very hard to find, and almost impossible in small Tanzanite gemstones. Because Steve Moriarty is a master gem cutter, many of his stones have the red flash within them. This is because a big reason you can see it, when available, is in the way it is cut. Trichroism in Tanzanite also causes the "Red Flash Effect".

Most of the time, when we have Tanzanite with the red flash, it sells very quickly, because of the rarity. We do usually though have a few gemstones that have this beautiful characteristic to them.
